It wouldn’t hurt to have the backing of a sizable segment of Congress, especially the Republicans who control both houses. To pursue this path, it also would help to have substantial public support, maybe even from some segments of Trump’s ever-loyal but declining base.

The 25th Amendment is not designed to remove a sitting President for being unpopular, or making decisions that are counter to the other political party. It's designed (and TBH, has the only change of succeeding) for a President who is incapacitate by health issues, or I guess has literally disappeared.

And since the republicans have majorities in the house, senate and occupy the cabinet positions there is no way they would invoke the 25th amendment for anything that wasn't impeachable in the first place and popularity is not an impeachable offense.

It's not just wishful thinking it is as likely as fairy dust and unicorns.

But, mental health issues qualify as health issues. That can't be denied.

Sorry...but...You know zero about the 25th amendment. Unless proof of incapacity of the POTUS is proven this can't happen.

Well, I'll admit the left is creative in coming up with wishful ways to get rid of the POTUS. Unfortunately, they are all talking points and all boil down to "we don't like him, he should be impeached" nonsense we've been hearing since day one. Heck, I didn't even vote for the man but there is nothing legally there to impeach him. "I don't like him" doesn't cut it.
