Charlotte can finish anywhere from a #3 seed to out of the tournament. Lots at stake this weekend.

Sort of.. UTSA is actually 1-2 against both FIU & Marshall, while Charlotte is a combined 3-3.

But if FIU and Marshall both catch UTSA, that means Charlotte just got swept into a the tie at 15 wins also.

UTSA beat Charlotte 2-1 (making them 4-5 within the tied group) while the sweep drops Charlotte to 3-6.
Charlotte becomes odd-team out and the other three advance.

Same thing happens if Rice goes 1-2 to mix in and make it a 5-way tie. Rice swept Charlotte so they'd still be odd-team-out at 3-9 in the tied group.

Any other scenario results in 8 or fewer teams with 15 wins. Thus: UTSA is safely in with their 15 wins while Rice (14-13) and Charlotte (15-12) have a magic number of one. Fiu and Marshall still control their own destiny.

Tech needs to take 2 out of 3 at least. I believe that and definitely a sweep would put us in a position to be a lock for the tourney.

I am watching the Tech/MTSU game on CUSATV. I have been satisfied with the productions thus far, for the most part. These MTSU announcers are the worst i have heard this year. Are they the local high school announcers? You guys can do better than this.

USM rallies from a 3-1 deficit and scores 3 in the 8th and 5 in the 9th and won 9-3

A Rice win tonight now clinches a spot in Biloxi with Marshall losing.
FIU and Marshall vying for the final spot. FIU up 9-6 in the 3rd. Should FIU win their magic number would be one as they own the head to head tiebreaker vs Marshall.

Rice wins 12-4 so they clinch a spot in Biloxi. Last spot (although not necessarily the 8 seed) will be either FIU or Marshall.
