With Notre Dame buyout complete, Charlie Weis, including Kansas buyout, got paid $64.5 million for a head coaching record of 41-49.

So, he's a bum because he was paid that much for a 41-49 record? I'm confused who wrote the checks...sounds like those guys are the bums...

Charlie's agent is the MVP.

I need to hire either that guy or the agent who got Eddie Lacy bonuses for weighing in as just fat instead of really fat.

Yeah, he was 35-27 at ND and ....gulp....6-22 at Kansas.

Is Charlie still alive?

I'm, personally, shocked he's not in the NFL as an offensive analyst or an advisor in the vein of an Al Saunders, Greg Roman, or Norv Turner. He is a very creative offensive mind, and probably would have a lot to offer an NFL team.

Lord knows he doesn't need the money anymore either.

What's he doing now? Living fat and happy off his $64.5 million? Like someone else said, good work if you can get it.

If he were interested I'm sure he'd find work as an NFL OC. His one season in KC he made Matt Cassel a Pro Bowler.

Being professionally mediocre pays well. I chose the wrong business.

That iconic '05 USC game made his career financially.

Yup, few have ever gotten paid so much for winning a game, much less losing one.

I don't know if Weis ever had a win as good as the USC loss in 2005. He beat a ranked Penn State team in 2006, but that's about it.
