2017 CUSA Track and Field Championships
No thread on this yet so even though it's still going on, I'm trying to get the track and fielders some love. Currently UTSA leads Western Kentucky by a bit on the men's side although WKU should move ahead with a lot of points in the 200. UTEP is in the mix too. On the women's side, UTEP and Middle Tennessee State are currently tied. They're way out in front of everyone else.

Some nice results - the men's 100 winner from Western Kentucky just ran 10.15 and a UTEP freshman ran 44.53 which is the fourth fastest time in the world in 2017.

Western Kentucky will win the men's side. They had a 2 point lead over UTSA entering the 4x400 and just won that event (UTEP was 2nd and UTSA 3rd in that event). Top 5 for men will be Western Kentucky, UTSA, UTEP, Middle Tennessee State and Charlotte. Rice or USM 6th and 7th in either order. FIU, UNT and Louisiana Tech bringing up the rear in places 8-10.

ETA
1) Western Kentucky 144
2) UTSA 138
3) UTEP 117
4) Mid. Tenn. State 95
5) Charlotte 88.50
6) Southern Miss. 68.50
7) Rice 68
8) FIU 39
9) North Texas 37
10) Louisiana Tech 23

Congratulations to the athletes and coaches at UTEP and WKU

I found it interesting that UTEP, MTSU, Charlotte, Southern Miss, Rice, FIU, North Texas, and LA Tech finished in the exact same order in both competitions

With WKU's T&F Men's title, that brings WKU's total CUSA titles in all sports to 21 in the last three years. Rice is in 2nd place in the conference with 9 titles. It's a great time to be a Hilltopper.

Oh, but they do count. Good job by the WKU men and congrats on all those titles. Very good athletic department. UTEP women won their side of things making it 4 titles overall this year for UTEP.
