Hollywood???

What are you thinking about, Old Owl?

(This is like too much Abilene, Del Rio or Brownsville in Houston. Same state, but ~350 miles away from each other.)

But to your point, it appeared to me that TCU's players were taller, faster, stronger and hit harder than ours. The Owls battled valiantly and had some chances, but usually did not capitalize. Conditions were cool and breezy ... hardly Houston-like. Check out Tim Andrzejewski's riceowls.com recap for the details.

RE: Women's Tennis @ Stanford Regional
TCU was definitely a physically better team than us. We were going to have to play smarter and more accurately from the beginning, and we didn't start making serious moves towards that until it was too late. We were leading or close in the three abandoned matches; of the nine sets we lost in singles, four were by one break or a tie-breaker. All three singles losses included one of those four sets. A February dual that starts out like yesterday can finish to a respectable 4-3 or 5-2 final (given coaches consent, etc). 4-0 looks worse than it was.

RE: Women's Tennis @ Stanford Regional
Okay thanks. Sounds like we need to recruit more physical players to reach the next level.
