+1! Wow, what a night and day difference from the trash Seversen put out. You might actually think we have talent on our team after reading what Lynch had to say. That gets me excited about the season vs Seversen saying we might as well not show up. So happy Jordan is back

So sick and tired of NIU athletes saying they wished they were in the Bigten. Sick of the chip on the shoulder quote. You weren't a Bigten player out of highschool! I want guys that don't feel they are at a second rate school. You're lucky NIU gave you a scholly. Many kids got nothing and would be thrilled with a NIU scholly!

Yea, I mean, if they were at Purdue they'd be on a team that's worse than a decent number of MAC schools. Same for Northwestern and a couple others. You'd play in front of more people for most of the games, but it isn't like NIU doesn't play in front of big crowds in their OOC schedule.

I think they want to play in front of large home crowds. There was a time when it seemed like NIU was heading in the right direction in that regard. That seems like a distant memory now. You can't blame them for wanting to play in front of a lot of people.
If you have ever played a competitive sports at a level higher than high school I'm sure this is not news, but seeing a huge crowd of people gathered to watch you puts a little extra pep in your step. It gives you energy. I know, there will be a lot of people on here post how everyone should give their all every play every game, but those people never played competitive sports at a high level. Fan support makes a difference.

I don't mind the quote because it's the truth. Most of our players would sign with a Big10 team over us if given a full scholarship. If they appreciate what they have and prove themselves, then we come out ahead. It's why we've been so good. All that matters is that they are here and end up happy to be here. As far as Severson goes, he's an outsider that doesn't care about the program. It's just a job and he'll leave if given the chance. He put out garbage before about niu not deserving a better conference and doesn't care how damaging that crap is. I still don't like his "work"

True, but I would think they'd also want to win occasionally.
