We're participating in the Top 3 and 6 of the Top 10. Not bad.

Yep I was all excited about coming in at number two and then UCONN had to one up us and be in the number one tournament

COGS

But you're much more likely to win yours than we are to win ours.

Just guessing the seedings:
1. Arizona
2. Nova
3. SMU
4. Purdue
5. Tennessee
6. NC State
7. Western Kentucky
8. Northern Iowa

Possible matchups of NC State, Nova and Arizona.

I'd say:

1. Zona
2. Nova
3. Purdue
4. SMU
5. WKU
6. Tennessee
7. NC State
8. Northern Iowa

And WKU could be dangerous.

Probably a toss up but they'll get the 3 because their jersey says P5, not P6.

Jesus Northern Iowa is going to get crushed in that tourney.

Not only that ... but a legit chance at winning 2 of the top 3, with an outsiders chance on the 3rd.

Likelihood of winning preseason tourneys (IMO):

1. Cincinnati - Cayman Islands (ULaLa, Iowa, Buffalo, UAB, Richmond, Wyoming, South Dakota St)
2. WSU - Maui (Chaminade, Cal, LSU, VCU, Marquette, Notre Dame, Michigan)
3. Temple - Charleston (Auburn, Clemson, Dayton, Hofstra, Indiana St, ODU, Ohio)
4. Tulsa - Puerto Rico (App St, Boise St, Illinois St, South Carolina, UTEP, Western Mich)
5. SMU - Atlantis (Zona, Nova, NC State, WKU, Northern Iowa, Purdue, Tennessee)
6. UCONN - PK80 (Oregon, Georgetown, Michigan St, Arkansas, Oklahoma, UNC, Portland St)

Cincinnati should dominate that field. I'm pretty confident about WSU too. Temple was difficult because their field doesn't look too strong, but I also have no idea how good they'll be this year. Same could be said about Tulsa. SMU has some tough teams at the top. I think UCONN could go 2-1, but that loss could very well be the first game vs Oregon (as it's basically a home game for the Ducks).

I didn't think about this until just now, but I really like how UCONN is matched up against Oregon for the first game. The Ducks lost a lot so will probably be figuring things out at the beginning of the season, so UCONN has a great chance of winning. Also, since Oregon is a big name, it could be a major confidence booster for the Huskies should they win. On top of all of that, Oregon could develop into a quality win later in the season since they undoubtedly have talent and should get things figured out under Altman. This game has great potential for UCONN.

we get Northern Iowa in the first round of Battle for Atlantis. I'm disappointed in that but if we beat N Iowa we will likely face either Arizona (preseason #1) or Nova (preseason top 10)

Northern Iowa has a very competent coach but their roster is depleted from the "glory years". Expect a slow, grinding game. You can win as long as you play defense. If you don't D it up, you'll likely lose.
