Could UAB do this again to improve RPI and get a good home game?
I think we did this a couple of years ago(vs Troy?). Perhaps we could find a quality MM opponent(Murray State, Belmont, Valpo,...)
Middle Tennessee and Florida Gulf Coast will play a home-and-home series in its entirety next season...

Recently we've done that twice. Wyoming in 2006 and Troy in 2008. UAB played several opponents (home and home in the inaugural 1978-79 season. The non-Sun Belt home and homes that year were Hawai'i and Southern Miss.

Great series, two multiple bid MM schools over the last five years facing off.

As pointed out in that article, Alabama paid out $1.3 million to WKU for a game. That same year (I recall) they paid FAU about the same amount. They won't play UAB, but they will provide millions to our conference opponents at the same time. I know UAB can't "return the favor", but can you imagine the reaction among Crimsons if UAB provided the Mississippi schools or LSU with millions to help them compete with Bama?

I've seen no indication that UAB wants to play Alabama.
