Coastal is now a half game out of 1st in the Sun Belt (both divisions).

Depending on what USA does, a win tomorrow could put Coastal in sole possession of 1st in the conference.

Our game last night was canceled. We won our first game today 8-6 and winning the second game 7-1 in the 4th.

Going to the bottom of the 4th, the Jags are now up 11-1. App's pitcher started struggling and App left him in. My guess is they are trying to keep their pen and try to salvage one game in the series tomorrow.


EDIT: App started the 5th inning with a new pitcher.

Still in the top of the 5th, App makes a pitching change. The Jags lead the Mountaineers 20-1 behind their 19 hits.

The top of the 5th finally comes to a close. 20 hits and a score of 21-1. App is looking ahead to next week -- you better watch out!

Best thing to happen today was Little Rock walking off Georgia State to keep App in 10th.

Hard luck weekend. Yesterday, one run short, as Simmons gives up an uncharacteristic three-run homer, all on base with two-out. Today, we hand it off you our relievers, who are something like 30-1 over the last few years with a lead in the eighth. James is as good as we have and I trust him in that scenario every time. Just didn't work today. That's how baseball go.

stAte beat GS 1-0. Welsh threw 6 shutout innings. Zuber threw the last 3. The last two innings GS batters did not touch the ball. We had 3 hits so their pitchers were lights out too.
