American Crime got cancelled too and that was a better show.

That's what I hoped for Hannibal. Though Southland did get bought by TNT and did well.

Whether or not is was better isnt relevant to why it was cancelled. American Crime had less than 25% of the viewership of Last Man Standing.

That's definitely true but more than meets the eye in this particular instance. The show has been on the air for 6 years (long time) and starting this year, ABC was going to -- if they renewed for #7 -- have to pick up the whole tab for production costs, after having split the bill up 'til now. So this is one time where I think the industry's (richly deserved) reputation for political bias is not to blame.

That is a fair point, but entertainment media suggests that ABC didn't even really want to negotiate to try and keep the show on the air.

The show didn't fit with the agenda of the leftist media & Hollywood types..

Since Seinfeld ended, I don't think I've watched any sit-com more than once.

It had a good run. I stopped getting into shows because every time I do that show gets cancelled.

"Lucifer" just started back so I'm watching it now. So far it doesn't suck.

Im glad im not the only one who feels that way

By the way, shows like Last Man Standing, if successful with a strong following, are sometimes picked up by another network. Off the top of my head---Friday Night Lights, Gilmore Girls, and The Killing are three examples where another network picked up an existing show after it had been cancelled by its original network. Im guessing this probably only happens when the property is not owned by the network (like Last Man Standing).

In a somewhat related note---apparently the new "conservative" network some are talking about is what the Sinclaire/Tribune Media merger is all about. I had been looking at that news from primarily a sports point of view.
