I'm not sure if anyone had posted it before, just useless trivia for bragging rites I guess but the ACC is also home to states that feature the Triple Crown Jewels of American racing . Daytona 500, Kentucky Derby and the Indy 500. No other conference can claim that

The Belmont is in New York (also ACC).
A good many NASCAR races are in the ACC.

Hold on there! We have another Groundhog, General Beauregard, and he resides in Atlanta. And wouldn't you know it, he seldom agrees with that Yankee groundhog that gets more press. Although I will readily admit I would rather go to Punxsutawney than Atlanta whether there is six more weeks of winter or not!

So the ACC has all your Groundhogs covered. I smell more money after both events sign on with the ACC Channel
