This is going to be interesting to see who it helps and who it hurts. Personally I think it helps CUSA teams. This is in effect for 2017.

I think it's good for the kids. And us. It stops big schools from offering and accepting then telling kids sorry no spot for you.

It also will hurt programs where kids turn pro early and the school is caught unaware that a marginal prospect went hardship leaving an open scholarship or two.

I had posted this in the Michigan, Penn State camps at ODU thread a week ago, because one of the other key decisions was an end to those types of camps. But no one took the bait.

You seem to be trying pretty hard to stir something up. I guess anything that your program doesn't do is evil in your eyes, it's all good. 757 is a recruiting hotbed. Ending the camps hurts the kids the most who can't afford to visit all the schools, and the camps were a great way for kids to see a lot of different programs in 1 local trip.

Did I bite?

Not trying to stir anything up. It was just a heavily discussed topic at one time so thought folks would want to know.

The proposed rule change in redshirts...

Quote:The American Football Coaches Association is forwarding a proposal to the NCAA that would allow players to participate in up to four games of a season without burning their redshirt year.
