Manic Monday Mash: Who are some Football Teams We Surprisingly Haven't Played?
Ga Tech, "Clempson" and North Carolina of the ACC come to mind...

Believe we have played every SEC team except Vandy...(although Missouri was in Big 8 at the time)

Never played Fresno, only surprising because they (and Boise) were at one time considered one of the Big 3 of Mid-Majors (along with USM)...I believe they have fallen worse than us.

We have played quite a cornucopia of NCAA teams, from San Diego State to Army (but few northeast USA programs ---->No Syracuse, no Rutgers, no Boston College, no UConn), from Penn State to "Warshington", and from Idaho to southern Florida (but few southwest desert programs, No Arizona, no Arizona St., no New Mexico, no UNLV)

Just kinda interesting...or at least for me!04-cheers

My records only go back to 1963, but we've played lots of Texas teams except the Longhorns and Baylor Bears. No Oklahoma Sooners either.

We just might end up in the XII eventually. Of course, one of the first steps of that process will be Oklahoma leaving it.

More directly back to the topic, it's pretty amazing we've never played Georgia Tech.

I forget which one it was, but I was told years ago that either Underwood, Collins, or Carmody made it a point to try and regularly schedule a team out West just to give the players a chance to see a different part of the country they otherwise might not.

I want to know how Tulsa and Nevada got Notre Dame to schedule them. Didn't we almost have Georgia scheduled for a game at the Rock? Agree about Georgia Tech, surprised that hasn't happened. Would like to see us get Northwestern, UNC, Wake and Miami at some point.

Along with every other program of note in it. Pac XII will scoop them up.

If Presbyterian, Utah St, Old Dominion, Western Carolina, Arky St, Bethune Cookman and Nevada can schedule games with them this season surely Giblet can become Hellen Keller 2.0........

I know you were joking, but no FBS school plays MS Valley because they don't have enough players on scholarship. If a school doesn't have a certain number of scholarship players (50 or 60 I think), then a victory against them can't be counted towards bowl eligibility. This is why we've played Alcorn & JSU, but not Valley. MSU had to cancel a game with them for this same reason.

Believe Valley does have enough scholarships now. New Mexico and Eastern Michigan have played them recently.

Not entirely... All our Texas A&M games were while they were big 12/8/SWC, as were most of our Nebraska games. (I want to say 5 of them were while they were Big-8/12)..

So that's 11 games that would fall in the Big-12 category.
