FAU: Players fighting each other after USM's loss in dugout?
Anyone else see this too? If you sat behind the visitor dugout then you saw what I saw. After the walk-off base hit one of the FAU outfielders got caught in the USM celebration mauling of Burdeaux...I'm sure there was some jawing between our guys celebrating the the FAU outfielder...looked like some of the FAU players/coaches had to go get the kid from the outfield to keep it from escalating. When they finally escorted him back to the dugout, it looked like he was being held back from quite a few other players, lots of shoving going on and people talking about each others mamas. Curious to know what happened or if the players were just heated at each other after that loss?

The left fielder had been popping off all game. Burdeaux took exception to the slide into home that took out Donaldson (which was clean btw). The left fielder and Burdeaux had words after the play and an umpire had to get between Burdeaux and the FAU dugout. When Burdeaux hit the game winner to LF, he had some choice words for the left fielder as he ran into the outfield. The left fielder jawed back and Braley got in his face. A few FAU players/coaches got him out of there before it got ugly.

This was really a case where the Eagles just needed someone to be mad at to get fired up. He was it and it worked. That being said, I heard the team was tired of his yapping before the play at the plate.

Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was the right fielder for FAU who slid into Donaldson?

I'm not sure who slid into Donaldson. I just heard Burdeaux and the left fielder had a heated exchange. He was shouting at the dugout but apparently, the left fielder was doing a lot of the talking.

Watch the video and you can see Dylan is giving the left fielder an ear full.

He's just amped up after hitting that game winner. No hard feelings. He could've been a little more humble...but then again, some say that outfielder had been yapping his mouth the whole game...who knows?

Great weekend series though. Hope you guys when the rest of your games and maybe we'll see you guys in a rematch in Biloxi.

I think he just used it to fire up himself and the team. Like a coach getting ejected on purpose. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It did this time.

Also, Burdeaux is 6-4 225. He had several D1 football scholarship offers as a LB out of high school. TCU was one of them. I don't think he was worried too much about whether his team was around him.

Wow big 3-0 for you had to get lucky to beat FAU's worst pitching team in 5 years.

Congrats on your quick exit where ever you end up playing a regional.

And you think that your guy can? Your team lost two straight games in a way that showed what team can fight back and win.

6'4?? He's about 6'1. Let's be honest here.

If the FAU players fight like they play baseball, well you know....

Both of us are wrong. He's listed at 6-2 and 230.

He's not 6'2. He's 6'1 with cleats on...maybe.

On that "Burdeaux Knows" video w/ Nick Mullens...he was a little shorter than Mullens. And Mullens is supposedly 6'1...
