Also, making another run at Ross Barkley. I'd prefer that one to fail.

Yeah, Chelsea would never meet the 15 million that we wanted. Llorente was in the final year of his contract and wasn't going to re-sign. Kind of forced us to make a move.

Looks like we'll announce the signing of Wilfred Bony later today as his replacement. Club just made the Sanches move official.

Looks like Andres Gomes from Barcelona is on his way to Spurs too.

We got good squad depth today. Good to see.

Southampton aren't budging on VVD. Sucks.

At least Arsenal's deal for Lemar is falling through. Looks like they will be forced into keeping an unhappy Sanchez.

Funny that Arsenal had their bid accepted for Lemar and then they pulled out. Are they cutting wages at Arsenal?

Did Arsenal pull out or did Lemar reject the move? Lemar probably sees it as a lateral move at best.

I don't even think I'd say that...he's almost assuredly in the CL at Monaco with how Marseille and OL have fallen off a bit, Arsenal look like they'll struggle to make the EL after this season.

Transfer Deadline Day should be changed to EPL Panic Buying Day. World Cup Qualifying is going on around the globe today! France are beating the Netherlands 1-0 and Sweden is tied 2-2 with Bulgaria at HT. Argentina vs Uruguay later today and USA vs Costa Rica tomorrow.

Llorente to Spurs is done.

I'm gonna enjoy 87th minute Eriksen free kicks finding his head this season.

Still not announced by either club. Story is that Swansea will not allow Spurs to announce until the Bony deal is official.

And Bony has officially signed. Spurs can now sign LLorente "officially"

Gotta love the silly season.

Ross Barkley drives all the way to Chelsea for his medical exam, decides when he gets there that he doesn't want to play for Chelsea after all, gets back in the car and drives back to Everton...

That's a new one.

Pretty Much. Unusual situation for Swansea. Since Chelsea came in so early to declare interest, we never really gained traction with signing him to an extension. Once that happened, it meant either letting him play out the year here, knowing he could sign a pre contract with another club in January and leave for free, or selling him for the best profit they could

In the end, 15 million allows Swansea to make a small profit, and allows the club to reconcile the massive amount of debt we managed to accrue last year while barely staying in the league.

It's not the normal way you do things, but by almost all accounts, we had a pretty good transfer window and still walked away with a 25 million dollar profit in our transfer dealings. Which will make Swansea fans unhappy, but probably is the best considering we'd be in serious financial trouble had we been relegated last year.
