Question Expand MLB All-Star game to series?
The game started in 1933 when there were 16 teams. I think they should move the game to the week of July 4th and have a 3 game series. More players. More strategy. Falls in line with baseball being "America's Game."

Good Lord; it's hard enough to make it interesting as things are. Add more games? Selling them could be a challenge.

No thanks. Sports all-star games have enough trouble being relevant as it is (you'd definitely see less player participation, playing two extra games during what's supposed to be a break would be unpopular), diluting baseball's is the wrong way to go imo. On that note, the MLB needs to decide whether or not the ASG is a glorified exhibition or a legit contest that means something. I'd prefer it be the latter by keeping the whole World Series home field advantage thing, shrinking the rosters from 34 to 25, and removing the requirement that each team must have a player represented.

It should be a zero-game series. As should every other pro sport's all-star game. The time for those circuses has past.

Yeah, if anything it should be an end of the year awards show. Maybe they could have a youth league or minor league game but it's an outdated concept.

You are asking all 30 teams to give up all their potential revenue the week of July 4 for a 3-game all-star series? Teams will never give up that revenue from games that week.
