Valparaiso Graduate Transfer to Visit NMSU
Lexus Williams (6'1 CG) is visiting NMSU. He averaged 5 PPG/2APG last season for Valparaiso. He just visited Wisconsin and visiting NMSU this weekend. Would add the depth we need next season.

I'd also love to see the WAC pull 2 kids who also had visits with Wisconsin (Benson & now Williams). I think it would say a lot about trajectory of our conference, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Yeah, Hopefully NMSU can land Lexus Williams. The irony is that by GCU landing Benson, it then shifted Wisconsin's interest toward Williams. Now, if NMSU loses Williams to Wisconsin, GCU's is partially at fault. 05-mafia

Sounds like the visit went well: https://twitter.com/MichaelOsipoff/statu...8311534592

#Valparaiso grad transfer Lexus Williams got offer from New Mexico State on weekend visit. Liked Chris Jans, program, "beautiful" weather.

From Williams Valpo highlight video, he looks sound defensively; very quick. If he come to NMSU I hope he can add some scoring punch as well.

He averaged 6 points per game as a freshman but two knee injuries has held him back. He could have a coming out party during his senior year.

Well, the good news is the video I posted is from this past season after the two knee injuries. So, he is still remains very quick. It appeared he had great potential prior to his injuries. He has missed a season and a half because of them. It's a shame he played 16 games his RS-Sophomore season. If he had played 10 games or less, he could have apply for a medical red-shirt and still have two years of eligibility remaining. He is a lot like Sidy Ndir with regards to being injury prone. Sidy has missed 6 games his first season because of a severe ankle sprain. And, 24 games this last season because of a torn ligament in his foot.
