No news. No mention on ESPN which is extremely disappointing.

They need to figure something out.

Last year's final was a disgrace in terms of national exposure. It doesn't have to be espn but go with something besides cbssports network.

ESPN is not in a position to pay a lot for anyone's championship. They let a bunch of people go.

ESPN is the network to have your championship broadcast. They promote their champions much better than NBC's or CBS's sports channels.

ESPN can use content on the Sunday of the last weekend of the college hoops regular season. The big conferences are ending their regular seasons on Saturday because their tournaments start on Tuesday. The CAA should offer its championship to ESPN on Sunday afternoon or early evening. Sunday is preferable to Monday night.

That's what the a10 does. I'm sure they could make room for us on espn2. Unfortunately I would be willing to guess the weekend we have currently is locked in due to the contract with N Charleston

The A10's final is on Selection Sunday, another day the ACC has abandoned. The CAA should try to secure a slot the Sunday before, preferably in the afternoon.

We are thinking in terms of basketball. The CAA is thinking in terms of all sports ...ie, the football tail is wagging the basketball dog as far as we are concerned.

You want CAA basketball? You have to broadcast CAA I-AA football, too. Which can't draw flies on TV.

You are right. FCS has lost any draw it had with most of the big players moving to FBS. There was very little to begin with. To let FCS football keep you from gaining legitimate national exposure for your conference's premier event is bad business.

If we can maintain a high level of play here going forward the next five years, I really hope we can make the jump to the Atlantic 10. We're just slightly beneath current A10 members' basketball arena median capacity. Our travel budget would need to go up.
