I hear John Martin is a good shooter. Maybe he should send Saulsavant a tape. Although Jason says no one likes to play with John, he could be a "cancer".

RE: So where will Tigers get that outside shooter?
When Darrington met with the Tigers, he did so alongside fellow junior-college All-Americans Kareem Brewton and Kyvon Davenport. Both ultimately committed to Memphis that weekend. But it did not sway Darrington, who realized at a certain point that, "I can’t make everyone happy and I’ve got to do what’s best for me," he said. Quote from CA article by Mark Giannotto

This is part of the problem, Darrington said he can't make everyone happy.

We as Memphis fans put so much pressure on these players to be "the savior", that we don't realize we drive some players away.

Give Tubby Smith and his staff a chance, as well as these players.

I get on this board and play the game of good cop/bad cop, but in my intelligent view of basketball on the college level, one season does not define a legacy of a coach.

Give Tubby Smith the time needed to build this program in the way he sees fit.

If it doesn't work, I'll be the first one to lead the lynch mob.

I know I'm making a bad comparison.

No disrespect to anyone who had a family member hanged in the past.

I probably had someone hanged in my family tree because of skin color. But you can't change what has already happened in history.

Just like you can't change the fact that Tubby Smith is the head coach of the Tigers at this moment in time.

Now it's the fans' fault that Tubby can't recruit?

i just had my son video me hitting 24 out of 25 threes, from the bump in the driveway, which i think is at least 19 feet from the goal, is that a three?

Right now they don't have a good outside shooter. This is the guy they wanted but Tubby lost him to UT.

Perfect.

There is a positive article in the CA online about three players the Tigers are recruiting for 2018. The 7'4 kid, Days from Florida, and Kelly. They all had good stuff to say about Tubby and Joe.

Just like you can't change the fact that Tubby Smith is the head coach of the Tigers at this moment in time.
Or he was more likely referring to the two players who were visiting at the same time as him who both committed to us... Darrington had a chance to be our best player but if anybody thought he would be a program saver is delusional.
