RE: Hulu
Will this change their price for this package? I can't imagine all this being covered for $10/mo but if so, that's a serious game changer.
Edit: 3 seconds on google found my answer: $40/mo

Priced to kill sling, IMO.
I pay 13.99 for hulu today (no commercials). Most pay 7.99.
I pay 24.99 for Sling with the sports package.
Total of 38.98.
1 dollar more for me to be able to DVR and use a second device for live TV is worth it. Only thing making me consider staying is BeIn. Otherwise, I think Hulu's lineup is WAYYYY better than Sling.

I think you need to add $15 to Hulu if you want to DVR live sports. If you are cool with the DVR of the recorded content, which is what you already have, then it's all good.
I'm already considering Hulu over my Sling just for the CBS. Overall really happy to see more competition - that's how we all win.

So, let's compare the others. What we need is a breakdown of the sports channels offered from the various services. We have Sony PlayStation, Direct TV Now, Sling, Google/Yahoo, and now Hulu. Any others?
Who offers the most dollar for dollar?
BTW, you get 50 hours DVR included with Hulu. Additional can be added (200 hrs for $15).

No AMC, no HBO, no bueno. Those two channels are what keep the majority from jumping. And none of these streaming services include them.

Not sports but if anyone has Hulu, I highly recommend The Handmaid's Tale. It's my current favorite show.

RE: Hulu
For everyone that hates espn, sec network, big 10 network, etc all these packages are still giving money to them. Everyone is essentially subsidizing these huge contracts. I'm sure espn is still getting over $5 per household on these plans.

Sling has AMC, both live and on demand. You're not going to get HBO free anywhere. You can run it thru a Roku for 15 a month.
Sling blue package (I'm not sweating ESPN), a roku and an antenna is all you need. All of the major networks except CBS have an app where you can stream their shows.

CBS has their own app called CBS All Access. It's $5.99 a month and has ads.

RE: Hulu
The real winner in all this cord cutting are the internet services providers. Where I live 100 MB per second service is $80. My understanding is that you need at least 25 MBps to stream HD video.

I pay $0 for Hulu. Signed up for Bing Rewards. I just use the Bing search engine instead of Google and earn enough points to get the $7.99 Hulu package with commercials for free each month and about once a year have enough left over for a $5 Amazon gift card.
Extra easy for me because our office has Bing set as the default search engine.
Just tossing that out there for anyone who is a tight wad.
