That should be a benchmark for the Rockets at a minimum year after year...
But ranked 30-40 annually would get the national media attention ...

The dude only has G5's Boise, Navy, Houston, and Memphis rated higher than UT

I predict a great year ahead for both bbal and fb....

Toledo ranked ahead of ISU, and WMU ranked ahead of Minnesota.

This poll only had 2 G5 schools in the top 35, so in that regards UT at 50 isn't all that bad---the MAC should expect to be rated very poorly after their total and absolute humiliation in the bowl season last year. The Rockets bring a lot of talent back particularly at QB & WR, but a lot of talent was lost. I think that the MACC team favorite this year may be a "sleeper" Miami team---their mid-season turnaround last year reminded me of how the 1999 Rockets came together mid-season to finish strong. The 2017 Rockets should be a good team----maybe not as good as 2016 and definitely not as good as 2015 but that doesn't mean their chances for the MACC this year should be dismissed either.

I expect the Rockets to be better in Candles 2nd year. UT to be more explosive on Offense and better Defensively. I think our depth will be better and bringing NFL
Experience on staff to pay big dividends.

And... The Defense will be a very pleasant surprise!
