Well, I spent two of the best years of my youth there, but I have a feeling most kids would disagree today due to the lack of AC.

Outside of the 1-2 months early in the Fall semester, it's really the best location on campus and not even close.

Some are ok.

Hanson facing I-81 sucked donkey balls.

Try sleeping with the window open to fight the heat, but dealing with the truck noise (those SOBs used to blast their horns coming through campus)....I didn't sleep until November. I blame my ****** 1st semester GPA on being a zombie.

Tell those whippersnappers to get a box fan and suck it up.

Also have fond memories of having windows in the suite open during a blizzard and it was still really hot in there.

Great times, The Village has no peers at James Madison.

I was in White Hall at the top of the village, and we had lucked out with our windows facing the courtyard.

Eagle Hall is a peer, but albeit a different experience, and one that I will never forget nor would I trade! Some of the nastiest elevators and bathrooms on the weekend, those cleaning crews were saints, and it was ALWAYS hot!

That building is a dump and always was. A friend of mine's daughter stayed there a couple years ago and we went in. I can't imagine how students can be students and live in there.

Back in late 70's-early 80's the College Farm was a great hangout; w/ lots of social events, parties, mixers, & the like. The school even bused us out there. Great venue & good times.

Did the MRD's ever have the season-end party at the farm? My memory is a little foggy on that...and it ain't just because it's been >25 years ago 04-cheers

That was a crazy good time, wherever that was...

My freshman year, the bathrooms would get so nasty after the weekends that the housekeepers were a sight for sore eyes.
