Karl was a freshman in 2014-15. He should be entering 4th year of college with 2 years NCAA eligibility. I would guess he's got at least 1 year left undergrad under a standard 4-yr academic program. Am I wrong on any count?

He redshirted Bartows last year, left when Forbes came in, never played.

I would guess he saw what Forbes was about to bring in and figured he wouldn't get to play, but that's just a guess. I just can't believe with his size he didn't transfer to another school.

No. He's on the team. I'm sure he's a walk on. And you take walk ones that are 7'0 and played high level basketball.

Not a very skilled player to start with. Two years of not playing. 7 feet tall. Looks like a scout team all star to me.

Those players serve a valuable role.

I remember seeing Overstreet in warmups before games his RS year (admittedly an incredibly small sample size and not against competition), thinking that he at least looked familiar with post moves and wasn't as clumsy as I had been led to believe by some who had commented on his high school game. At the time, I thought, with some decent coaching he might be a serviceable post player. Not all conference, perhaps, but someone who could help a team which never had any size.
