They are no longer in exams. Why not fly out a day early?
BTW, 12 pitchers were used in the game tonight.

Has nothing to do with exams. When playing a weekend series on the road, the team always flies out Thursday, and practices late that afternoon on the opposing field. They even did that when they opened the season in Austin in February.

If you insist...

Game ball #1: Warren-Sarchet-Chandler for their 9th inning execution of the game-winning score.

Game Ball #2: Kendall Jefferies for shutting Lamar down for two innings after we had tied the game. He should have gotten the W.

Game Ball #3: Ford Proctor for both his defense and offense (2-4, double, BB, run, 2 RBIs).

The dreadful start to the season may prove to be the nail in the coffin (if we don't win the conference tourney) but I'm really happy to see some fight in these guys. Let's keep this momentum going. You never know what might happen if we get hot at the right time.

Go Owls!!!!

Feel good win, especially with a make-shift lineup. Now, safe travels tomorrow to Charlotte, and lets win our third weekend series and third week of action in a row. Go Owls!

One of the few instances in the history of Rice baseball where I support the sac bunt attempt! And it was successful!!! 04-cheers

Rice has won 6 of the last 7 (and needs to keep winning).
