As far as the 2018 NFL Draft is concerned, Anthony Miller is the only sure NFL prospect, IMO. Unless something crazy happens, I can't see him not being drafted.

There are plenty of other intriguing prospects (Ferguson, Dorceus, Mayhue, Cook, Avery, Dillon) but I don't view them as sure to be drafted at this point. If Ferguson has a HUGE year (he very well may) then obviously that could change.

Todd McShay or Mel Kiper actually released an early mock draft for next years class.. Had Riley going mid 40s.. No Anthony Miller in the first two rounds.

Wow. That's great to hear Ferguson is on their board already in the second round. Huge to have another QB go high like that. Never thought I'd see the day in Mem football.

Miller is undersized, so I would't be shocked to see him drop until the later rounds. But he's too good not to make a team and contribute in the NFL.

5th quarterback taken is pretty dog gon good!! That would at least be a 3rd round pick. I think we have a few folks drafted after this season als long as we get 8-9 wins. Victories over Navy and UCLA would help ensure that simply because of the national media attention we would get. Lots of scouts will be watch UCLA QB Rosen.

I think that is one of the reasons that the Tigers use him on kick coverage teams; to help him show that he has special teams abilities ... It will be interesting to see how many kickoffs our team will actually have to "cover" without Elliott kicking it out of the endzone !!!

He's got elite speed and really good ball skills for his size. If he has another year like last year, I think he gets drafted. Can't predict the round (WR is a crap shoot if you aren't one of the elites) but I think he gets picked. Reminds me of Antonio Brown...

I agree - with his natural talents, desire & work ethic, there will be a place for him in the NFL. We'll be watching him on Sundays soon enough - can't wait to see him on Saturdays this Fall!

Go Tigers!

Great point. Rosen will probably be a top 5 pick. Scouts will turnout for this game for a chance to see him and at the same time to get a read on Ferguson. Big game.

Yes, I absolutely get that outside impacts affected the last few teams, which were still good. But THIS season is the one to show the slight downward record trend was more a product of coaching change than anything else. Would suspect possible double digit wins, which would be sweet.

This may be the most important year in Tiger football history.

I see us with two more years to build upon this foundation and do something for the future. After the next two years we will see P5 schools coming for Norvell.

that time we need stability which will make the job the most attractive non P5 program in the country. So that the best candidates will be looking to knock down the door to get the job.

With Norvell's connection to the mid south we may be able to drag that out to three years. Even if we do we will be seeing staff changes almost yearly. We need to be in a position where the best available want to come hear.

We are not Boise, they were rather isolated when i came to major schools. But we are in a hornet's nest of two for sure and maybe even three different P5 conferences and the ones looking for a new coach will be looking our way.

We have to do this WITHOUT over extending ourselves by getting into a bidding war.

Have to wonder where we would be today if we put the assets in the program we are today , into it during the Tommy or Rip days.

Would not hurt if we did something to address our academic deficiencies and our urban thug reputation. Our research facilities are holding us back.

Yep. Not to mention all the other NFL hopefuls on both teams, but to your point, 2 potential 1st/2nd round QB's in Memphis at the same time will draw a lot of scouts, especially from the east coast NFL teams I would imagine.

Amazing what can be accomplished when you make good hires. Gotta love a coach who believes in the program

You don't like tubby?

I'm sure he's a nice guy. Probably fun to play 18 with...

Probably cheats and drinks ultra.

nobody likes ultra...same with Diet Coke...but you drink em for the same reasons.

Diet Coke is bad for your liver. Better off drinking the real thing. And seldom, if you can help it.

I'll occasionally get the Kroger generic brand. Almost as tasty when its cold.

When Coke Zero is warm...quite nasty.

Well, I'm a Coke guy. Leaded. I used to be a Pepper as a youth, and like to mix it up with a 7-up every now and then, but now I drink soft-drinks so seldom, I wouldn't waste the opportunity on anything but "the real thing."
