TXST gotta make some noise this year and get into a Regional...maybe win a game or two. We're losing 6 Seniors. Big bats, experience and a pitcher. (No, not Rupp. She's a Junior)

You never know how things will shake out the next year. The Cajun's lost four seniors last year who accounted for 63 out of 108 HR's and almost 193 our of 396 RBI which I didn't think we had a chance of replacing. We'll, we aren't on the same pace with only 76 HR's and 352 RBI with one weekend remaining. Our good news is that although we lose Alex Stewart and Haley Hayden we do have Aleah Creighton, D.J. Sanders, and Daniella Chavez back for next year.

After looking further, last years stats were for 55 games and we're at 45 right now so maybe we do have a shot after all. ;-)

I guess I'm saying you may be better than you expect next year and you'll still have the pitching.

2 starters, but no big bats by any means, no one over .250

2 pinch runners and pinch hitters

2 pitchers that spelled Rupp for about one third of the innings this year.

We have one replacement on board now, but I can see recruiting a stud pitcher this year.

BA isn't the be all end all of measuring big bats. Naivar and Liscano had their fair share of clutch hits this year that got us some needed W's
Charleston went 8-1 and she did a lot of relief work. You don't have 23 appearances without doing so (out of 43 games)

I don't doubt that we will get a good pitcher to replace Charleston. After all, anyone coming in gets to be tutored by Cat Osterman.

Just me being a goober. One time recently I started a thread about baseball RPI, and Catmom came over and started talking about softball in there, saying that softball wasn't getting enough attention (even though there were more softball threads than baseball ones on page one at that time) so I just try to inject a little baseball into every softball thread I see.

When you pitch just about every game since you stepped on campus it makes for a long career.
