Next week should be tough, but we should have a good shot catching or passing UTSA. They finish against Charlotte and SMiss.

Baker stared Willy down, and Willy chirped back, then Baker said something before he got to third and then Dane said something to Baker. For the home plate ump, standing 90 feet away, to toss Dane without any warning, when Dane never made a move towards Baker or anything, was utterly ridiculous. Then, the ump totally lost control of the situation by allowing the ENTIRE UTSA team go out to the plate like they just won the College World Series. Dom tried to shoo them back to their dugout, but the ump did not do what he is supposed to do and control the situation.

I never thought anything about UTSA before, but after this, they are complete classless trash. Was fantastic to see them lose like this.

In its T9, USM scores 8 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks and a HBP to beat Middle Tennessee 13-9!

MTenn has lost its last 6 conference games and drops to 7-14 (T10 with UAB in the CUSA standings).

Sorry you left feeling that way about UTSA. At the other end of the spectrum, I was very impressed by the players we met. You must have gotten caught up by the emotions down "in the arena" today. We visited a bit with the UTSA bullpen today and they struck me as great young men. A pitcher named Craft (6'8" with an incredible arm) and a catcher named Moon went out of their way to give a ball out of their ball bucket, then have the whole bullpen sign it, for a young Rice fan. They visited with us old beer drinkers (but big Rice backers) for quite a while and were thoroughly engaging and exuded class.

That's probably why they keep them down in the bullpen, to stay away from the trash that was in their dugout!
