Tubby said the P-5 resource gap is the reason we cannot recruit highly ranked players.

Tubby states this despite:
1. He is paid more then all but nine coaches making the 2017 NCAA Tourney (Fact)
2. A state-of-the-art basketball facility is under construction
3. We play in an NBA arena
4. Other G-5 schools land 4 and 5 star players (e.g., UNLV, Cincy, Xavier, Zags).
5. Our attendance is still in the top 30 in all college basketball.

Very depressing article. Tubby should just admit he and his staff don't have the ability to sign and keep top level players!

I thought we were about to open a top 5 facility?

This article shows how out of touch Tubby is and how he was the complete wrong hire for the program.

He's obviously not changing his staff

Never really thought he would. He is going to keep doing what he has always done and this staff is comfortable for him. It may be tough to work an "outsider" in.

This article alone and what Tubby Smith says in regards to his views of Memphis and what is realistic should get him fired. Apparently he gives no credence to our history and what we have been able to do. I was one of the more enthusiastic people about his hire. But I will admit when I'm wrong.

Our history right now is we haven't made any kind of post season in 3 seasons. You think recruits really care what you did 25 years ago or even 10 years ago. Not this day and age.

I'm neither a fan of his nor against him. I like what I read in the CA article though. Let's give him a chance to do it his way. After all he is the Tiger coach, so I'll support him.

Means we should be able to be in the top 20-30% of all NCAA programs regardless of conference.

P5 doesn't mean as much in basketball as football.

Gonzaga just played for the NC for goodness sakes

What kind of facilities does Pearl have at Auburn, 4 years or so STILL at 500.
