LOL. You're very welcome.

I figure there ought to be a fan/viewer-oriented record of the game ... and I'm happy to do it when I have the time.

Go Owls!!

Add my thanks as well. After a day full of kids athletics, it's great to be able to read this thread and get a sense of how the game went.

Me too.
And unlike Walt (who checks the box scores first) I go straight to the game thread and read thru one post at a time. You guys really are my play-by-play and color commentators a lot of the time. (Whether in real-time or "DVR" mode!)

Not just the box score; GameTracker has the inning-by-inning play by play, as well.

Not just the box score; GameTracker has the inning-by-inning play by play, as well.

The difference being... I can almost always "suspend finding out" the final score by going to the forum first and reading through the game thread one inning or one play at a time.

I will say I was really sweating out the Saturday game because there was another thread on the forum last night about the efficiacy of bunting. My first thought was a concern that it'd been promoted by another frustrating Owl result. So glad that we overcame both the opponent AND the concerning thread to win the game!

Unless we go 13-0 down the stretch to finish 30-26 (exceedingly unlikely), we have no shot at an at-large.

Save your bullets for a tough weekend series at Charlotte where we only NEED one win (if we beat UTSA tomorrow, assuming series wins vs. MT and @UAB), but where two would make allow us to trip up down the stretch.

I'd just throw Schragger against Lamar. He throws strikes which is more than you can say about most of our pitchers.

I agree with you in principle. Conference games are king right now.
But before you decide RPI doesn't matter, it could make a difference in whether we make the NCAAs.(other than your 13-0 scenario)
Read the Doomsday Scenario I just posted over on the conference board.

RPI could actually be the 8th place tiebreaker that gets us in the door in Biloxi in one scenario.

This!

Not exactly like back in the day when you'd drop a cassette in the VCR and record the game while you were busy, but same basic concept.

Sometimes you can guess the outcome by the length of the thread, or by titles of newly minted threads . . . but it's still deferred gratification, particularly if there is a Rice comeback involved.
