Donnal to Clemson
Clearly Clemson thinks he can, otherwise they wouldn't have wanted him.

RE: Donnal to Clemson
on a related note Carlton Bragg is transferring to Arizona State. Apparently Toledo was never in consideration -

"The ASU choice for Bragg came over Illinois, Xavier, Cincinnati and North Carolina State."

any word on Chris Darrington? I had expected that Darrington would have committed to Tennessee by now.

Clemson is a weaker program than Michigan and schools at that level have no problem taking a backup 1 year player if he has been competitive at the D1 level-and it's not just Big 10 kids, there were backups from MAC schools last year that went straight to the ACC for their 5th yr. Donnal isn't a stud but he does some good things at both ends of the court and was well coached at Michigan.

Bragg was a longshot but hoped his ohio roots and connections to a couple current rockets might give us a chance. clearly, he wasn't trying to get closer to home. arizona state is a fun place to play, although their program hasn't done particularly well under Hurley or his predecessor.

Darrington is the best shot of the 3 as he's always had the rockets in strong consideration and likes to rep Toledo. I like how his twitter feed has more tweets and pics about his jc graduation than his recruiting decisions. he seems like a kid who has found himself and begun to inspire others. he isn't a big and we have other talented combo guard types but he would make us better. I believe he'd positively impact our late game play which was the difference between us being a 500 team last yr and winning 23 or 24 games. we could use a guy who can get his shot. a guy who the people around him believe in.

If Antunez is, in fact, gone, we could still sign a JC big and Darrington, no?

Seton Hall signed his very tall, but extremely raw teammate. Things cooled with SHU's recruitment of Darrington once a high school point guard committed over the weekend. There are currently five guards on the SHU roster, four will get major minutes. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up.
