Ballgame.

More nonsense.

In what universe is recognizing the team has been good but short of great evidence of being negative about success.

It is being positive about taking the solid and doing something to get it the very top. And that is bashed?

It has been nice having a playoff team. It will be nicer to have a playoff team that can compete to win it all. Do you really disagree with that?

To finish the thought, and the above sounds more personal than reasoned. Negative bashing would be nonsense like the Grizzlies suck of Fisdale is killing the team or the like. Nothing close to that. Man is the bar moving.

What universe? Your own words.

"The professional team gets hugged for its spunk. Million dollar athletes get rah rahs for a nice try.
Which translates to zero pressure on management to make the next step.
"

Ridiculous, needlessly negative statements. And simply not true. 7 straight winning records and playoff berths is something to be proud of. And why do you care what they make? Don't watch if their salaries bother you so much.

We are in the Lebron and Golden State era. Chances are GS has a mini-dynasty that ends up being like the Steelers in the 70s, i.e. the dubs win 4 trophies in 6 years. Assuming this, what are we supposed to do? Tank every year like Brooklyn and Sacramento? Not try to win? No thanks.

My enjoyment and appreciation for the Grizz is not dependent on winning a championship.

Are all of our years pulling for the Tigers a waste because they have never won the NCAA tourney?

Let's see...because facts matter.

Mimi thought it was time for Josh Pastner to go towards the end of the 2016 year. Mimi was bitterly disappointed and expressed that over the manner in which the Tigers played, especially at the end of last season and expressed that. So the idea that everything Tigers is let go is crap.

But in the case of the Grizzlies, I am unsure what part of my comment was egregious, let alone untrue. Team has indeed been good, evidenced by making the playoffs seven years running. Team indeed has not been great, eveidenced by winning four series total in that same time span, or the same number as Atlanta.

And while any excuse, so to speak for the Tigers is eaten alive, we are now reading that if only Tony Allen had played.

If decent and making the playoffs as a low seed is good enough for you, then you are getting that. But I see a stunning acceptance of falling short and I guess a personal affront style reaction from some with hurt feelings.

To make the NEXT step...something more dramatic must be done...no one said it was easy...and it is possible that Memphis simply cannot draw a high level free agent now, yet will be just good enough to not be able to draft at the top. Boston, number one seed, made big deals and will add a top draft pick next year. Gotta work, or accept four series wins in seven seasons as the peak.

Memphis ain't Boston

If we decide to blow everything up, we could become the Timberwolves. 5+ years of no POs will bring misery to this town.

Yeah...you turned in 2016. But the fact that the Tigers underachieved every year didn't matter to you. Whatever man

The grizzlies shouldn't blow it up, and they should not trade any more first round picks either. They are going to need them in 3 years or so

Referring to yourself in the third person, especially when that third person is your blog name and not your real name, when speaking about the Tigers, and then switching to the first person in the next sentence, when discussing the Grizzlies, is really, really strange.

Your crazy.

The million dollar athlete comment was aimed at Nasal. We have sports writers nut hugging professionals for nice efforts.

And I even noted that the professional game itself is fun because the players are so good.

Give his one up.

Unwavering in these points. Team has been good. Professional basketball is fun because the players are really good. Team has won four series in seven years. In order to do better than that something needs to change.

All separate points from whether anyone enjoys the game.

Good freaking lord pillows.

No.

What is strange is seeing you jump on this odd bandwagon.

Others were commenting about Mimi. They used the name Mimi. They wrote Mimi just this or Mimi just that.

In return, I used the word Mimi.

Seeemed an obvious okay in words but apparently not.

Breathe, recognize, and you will see nothing from me has been even close to a big deal, and all pretty true.

Except for those who inexplicably did not see the mocking of the sportswriter, instead of the team...who I referred to as good but short of great which is incredibly correct.

Whatever dude. And my breathing is very relaxed, thanks for your concern. "Seeemed an obvious OK in words"?. What does that even mean?

I've never referred to myself in the 3rd person in my life. Especially in writing, using a screen name. If you don't find that odd, power to you. But you're not Kanye.
