I'm in the same boat with you, but I realize that those that choose to take the wait and see attitude, especially since it's only been one season, tend to not say anything anyway. But those that have the, the sky is falling mentality are screaming it, and waving their arms, so they are noticed. Coach TS can't win with some here period, if he doesn't speak, he's criticized, but if he speaks, every word is either disputed, or just micro analyzed. But of course it's because we won't settle for mediocracy, heck, Cal would have been gone within 4 yrs, because we have expectations, get er done, and within 2 seasons.

A lot of it also has to do with the squeaky wheels wanted someone else hired. Many wanted Kennedy or Forbes so they can have access. So they go after Tubby because he's not their guy. Self interests.

This is obviously very true!

My kids had opinions about what to eat when they were two, and they have opinions now that they're in HS and college. I don't think I'm being unreasonable in paying more attention to them now that what they say isn't ridiculous.

No matter what Smith said, there would be a group that would find tremendous fault in it. I'm glad he's expressing confidence and letting the players and the public know he has high expectations for the upcoming season.
