Man we're slumping bad. It's hard to watch.

Just putting up ugly performance after ugly performance.

Hicks is no longer a weekend starter. After several poor outings, Hicks was removed from the weekend rotation and did not see the hill this past weekend against USF.

Brian

We spent most of the game today wondering why they didn't use him last weekend. He was really good. 1 hit in 5 innings. Threw a ton of strikes after a sloppy first inning.

Apps beat ETSU 8-7 with a homer in the bottom of the 9th, win their third straight. Also equal last year's win total.

Yes, but according to Twitter, both teams are adamant to finish the game. take that for what it is worth.

Game is cancelled. OU was the home team and decided 11-3, I mean the lightning wasn't worth it.

That's bull crap. OU sucks, and it showed.

nah those guys are always willing to play us home and home. If you saw the radar for that area you could tell that the prospects of finishing that game were not good unless they wanted to make a night of it. a win over them would have looked good on the resume tho.

It's bullcrap from the standpoint that it was cancelled, not postponed.

Might be their best year ever and still lose to Troy and USA lol

We've beaten Alabama, Auburn, UAB, Samford, and Alabama State. Now if we can win the series against South Alabama, we'll win the state title.

Well Troy is 6-3 against Auburn, JSU, Alabama State, Alabama, UAB, and Samford. As you mention you still have USA to go and you also have another game against JSU.

USA is 5-0 against Auburn, Troy, Alabama State, and Alabama A&M. Alabama isn't on the schedule this year (they should come back next year) and we never play UAB. We don't play JSU this year either, so we only have the 3 game Troy series left. One of our Alabama A&M games was canceled and I don't think we will make it up -- and there is a possibility we take advantage of a NCAA rule that lets you schedule a makeup game with another team that had a weather canceled game -- for RPI purposes of course.

USA 14 - Auburn 3
USA 6 - Troy 4
USA 11 - Alabama A&M 1
USA 13 - Alabama State 4
USA 6 - Alabama State 4

Troy 5 - Auburn 2
Troy 10 - JSU 5
Troy 6 - Alabama State 4
Troy 12 - Alabama 11
Troy 9 - Samford 2
Troy 4 - UAB 2
UAB 6 - Troy 1
Samford 4 - Troy 3
USA 6 - Troy 4

It's a midweek game, they are unimportant and almost impossible to make up.

For us to make up ground in the chase for an at-large, it most certainly is important. That would have been a top 40 RPI win, the second mid-week win over a top-40 and show that elusive peak at the right time.

An at-large is still is an outside shot, but I'd rather be bubble than where we are now.

Yes, but from OU's perspective, it's a situation where they are correctly not going to go out of their way to finish the game.

It's their home game, its their call.

You're taking at-large with a 117 RPI?

You're taking at-large with a 117 RPI?

I highlighted the pertinent part.

What do you think would happen if UTA beat RPI #38, 36, 11 as well as take two of three from #50 and 66, couple with a sweep in two other conference series?

All of it is a stretch, I get it, but it would raise the RPI to respectable, and give UTA all the other things I mentioned.

Not enough to get you to At Large status.

Those three midweek games will provide minimal RPI impact, and conference games even themselves out in the end.

UTA's at large chances went up in smoke early in the season. You're asking a lot to get back to an RPI that would probably end up 70 or 80 in the end.

And I'll do the same ... no chance for UTA to get an at-large, so move on.
