Nice job Burdeaux after looking really bad last two ABs

When the lineup is on, it is a hell of a thing to watch. Berry just needs to get out of the way and let these guys hit the way they are going tonight.

Was getting on here to say the same thing.

IF, and that is a big IF, SB would sit on his hands, go take a piss, get a pretzel, f(*king anything but call bunts, steals, hit and runs, we would average at least 1 more run per game.

Amazing. Bunting baffles me in most situations with this team. There are times where it is warranted, but not many.

No idea what that was about.

Short outing Saturday + out of over 24 pitchers on roster less than 5 of them can consistently (using the term loosely) throw strikes.

Sandlin is not right.

Wallner can't pitch currently.

Who is left?

Hester? Warren? Lowery?

Fed to the Shed.

Put it on a shirt.

Maybe. Not sure if Roberts is moving to the pen or if we're just so short on arms that he's the only one we can count on for a stop.

Listening to Berry speak Sunday made it sound like Wallner isn't really close to coming back.

Roberts will likely start. Smith came out 2x this weekend due to shi**y starts Sat and Sun.

Wallner is NOT pitching any more unless the hip discomfort leaves.

Plenty of arms. Very few strike throwers.

Hope Sandlin can turn it around tonight with no pressure. Has looked BAAADDD the last couple of outings.

EDIT: The NO DOUBLE PLAYS defense continues. x2

Sandlin struggled vs ODU, but was lights out in a short stint at Tulane. Didn't have his best stuff at Rice but still struck out 6 in 3+ scoreless innings.

He's fine.

Don't remember Berry ever throwing a weekend starter in relief midweek.

Can't think of who else would get the start this weekend, though.

He's fine.

Struck out two on six pitches at Tulane.

One bad inning at Rice (and still didn't give up a run).

Least dominant outings have come on shorter rest or after longer outings.

...thought the same....and he's never been taught how to bunt properly....doesn't square himself to the plate and holds both his hands low on the handle...stabs at the ball instead of catching it....Looked terrible.
