When one of the top recruits in the area says that Tubby has only reached out one time, yeah thats a problem. You can say I have distaste for the staff all you want, I have distaste for the hire (and I can give you numbers to back up my stance while any one else can only give "patience" or "give them a chance". He had a 5* and a 4* that he lets walk because he alienated the father. The guy who has brought more highly rated recruits than ANYONE else on the staff and who IMHO is a better coach than at least 1 of the coaches (Saul). Dumb.

Goodness, the DJ Jeffries story has been debunked a couple of different ways, yet people keep pointing to it. I'm giving up on that one.

Even Keelon Lawson himself says that Tubby treated him great, yet people still put that departure on Smith alienating the father. I guess I have to give up on that one, too.

HaHa treated him great? The guy was being classy. There's a reason why if you went to practices (which ive been to one, could have been unique situation tho) that Keelon was all by himself the whole time. There's a reason he was left behind for a game. There's a reason why the kids are transferring out!!! Not bc Tubby was great to him, come on man lol. Why would they be leaving if Tubby was so great? Think about it . . . You can be a fan and disagree with what is going on with the program. And there is more evidence than just DJ Jeffries.

Hmmmm... a coach with over three decades of experience and history of being a class act recognized amongst his peers, or a high school coach who has ridden his son's coattails while parlaying that into a D1 "coaching" job without any high level experience other than coaching said sons in high school or AAU. I don't think it takes a highly educated individual to understand which scenario portrays class and which one does not.

I don't know how anyone could come to the conclusion that Tubby didn't treat Keelon great and that they didn't have a great relationship. People act as if KJ made a video telling Tubby to F'off or something. Why do people try to stir up crap all the time?

EDIT: I am NOT defending Keelon, who is an *******, only saying that he for sure didn't have a good relationship with Tubby.

I hope you’re right, I tend to think we will get Harris too. It’s just very disappointing to not have a few good ones already lined up.
