I like Joe. We need more like him on the recruiting trail, but instead we have the coach's son offering D-2 players.

No pass for Pooh or any other unproductive member of the coaching staff.

You guys had your head up Cal's ass (and Pastner's), so deep that you think that stars are all that matters. I'm beginning to think that many of the posters on here wouldn't recognize Bobby Knight if he walked in the door.

Pooh has gotten top 100 guys before, at A&M from the city of Houston. Give him sometime and I think he will start pulling people in.

Actually sounds interesting. Why don't you compile a list of Final Four teams with sub 50 recruiting classes over the past 25 years and see how it lines up. Off the top of your head, how many Final Fours has Tubby made it to with subpar 50s?

So you think talent is not important or do you like the idea of finding Diamonds in the rough.

Myself, I just like finding Diamonds, at least 1 or 2

I think talent is very important if you are going to make a run, I just don't think we are in a position to recruit very many 4 and 5 star players at this point, unless we pay them. We have to demonstrate that we can guarantee making the NCAA tournament before we can recruit enough talent to do that.

If it was all recruiting Cal would have had numerous championships at KY already. How many years has he NOT had the number one class at KY?

He does work hard. He's the voice of the program on twitter - and seems to be doing a good job of it. Not the voice overall though. Tubby does all the interviews locally and nationally.

This is correct, but convincing some of this won't be happening. Some of these folks are bitter.
