Miami redhawks and UC recruiting
I saw the inside of the Redhawks indoor practice football facility, its every good as UT's . It should help in recruiting for the Redhawks. The problem is there fan base and very low student support, except maybe homecoming.

UC Luke Fickle just got a verbal from a 4 start athlete out of Fairfield High here in the greater Cincinnati area. This DE was being recruited by major powers, other then Ohio ST. Fickle is not afraid of recruiting for 4 star athletes against the big boys. He is trying to keep the greater cincy kids 3 star players from going to the MAC and others south of the Ohio boarder.

It'll be interesting to see how Fickel does at Cinci. He had a less than impressive one season at OSU as head coach, even though he was helped a bit by certain game officials to get to 6-6 on the season.

Wasn't he one of the only, if not the only, coaches that Urban kept when he was hired? He may have been mediocre in that one year, but he must bring something to table.

UC and Fickell can be a good match. Fickell next to Urban has more name association with HS coaches and players. He has produced a lot of NFL players and good defenses at OSU. He has also been a top recruiter for Urban and tressel at OSU. Marcus Freeman his DC is an up and comer who played at OSU and is from the Dayton area. A top TE from Lasalle just committed there a couple weeks ago and they Lead for Aneas Hawkins who's father played at UC and is a top 15 DT in the country. Fickell will cause more problems for MSU and UK in recruiting than OSU, ND or UM. UC could be what UT or any other MAC school in Ohio could be with deep pockets and administration that wants to build a better program. I think it's great that UC is so far recruiting at a higher level than they have.

Isn't that the truth !! - With the o$u and Syracuse games virtually stolen, it would have been a stellar season for the Rocket program...

It was interesting that he didn't get the Akron job, even though he's from NE Ohio.

You do? Fickle stole our best recruit we've ever had. If Fickle doesn't get hired by UC, we more than likely keep Mr. Football, especially considering he wasn't even offered by UC until Fickel arrived...at the last minute.

Fickel can go pound sand as far as I'm concerned, with or without Mr. Football...
We may end up getting the better end of the deal picking up the Alabama running back towards the end...

If you go by recruiting services Warren would have been about the #5 or #6 on UT's all time(last 20 years) commit list.

Think Akron thought Bowden was their savior and a bigger name. Also, Luke's audition at OSU wasn't a shining moment in 2011. But, he has always been a good recruiter. Didn't say he was a good Head Coach.
