either the person that was throwing the ball was Aroldis Chapman or somebody was not using the correct ball. There is no way a kid broke somebody's jaw with a dodgeball.

I was probably one of the most if not the most bullied in the middle school I went to, my favorite gym game was dodgeball, though on a free day I did get into two fights with a kid that decided it would be funny to throw a dodgeball at my friends face (who was not playing nor was near their game) and then later throw it at me while my back was turned. Don't wanna get hurt? Get tough.

I remember playing this in elementary school as a kid in gym class and we called it "kill ball". It was brutal. Someone always had a bloody nose from it, usually from the gym coach throwing the ball at you.

In addition to Dodge Bowl we played "Wall Ball" out on the playgrounds. This game involved either a tennis ball or a raquet ball. You would throw the ball against the wall and someone would have to catch it on the fly or on the hop. If you mishandled the ball you had to sprint to the wall. The other kids would try to beat you to the wall with a throw to the wall. If they beat you, you had to "spread eagle" against the wall, where all the other kids would get a crack at hitting you with the ball.

The game was frowned upon by the teachers heavily but we still played. They would break it up if someone got hurt.
