Joe Esposito in West Virginia over the weekend
I wonder who he was looking at on the recruiting trail there? Someone had mentioned that the player was a very good shooter and player. There were also another one he went and looked at. All of the coaches on the road recruiting right now, including Tubby. They are not done yet, Joe and Tubby is going to reel in a couple of more, before they are done.04-cheers

I like your thinking! I also now know where the coaches are standing in this. Humm? It would be an honor to get Deaundre Murphy, wouldn't it? That would shock the system, and to add him to what we already have. Doing there homework up there.04-bow

This class is better than Texas Techs class 2014
I believe that this class may be better than Techs class of 2014, they got into the NCAA tournament. I also believe that this class can make a run this yea if everything comes together. 04-cheers

I will be shocked if we make the NCAA Tourney next season. A winning record would be the near the end of the realistic outcome spectrum. An Iba type record is a more likely outcome than an NCAA bid, IMO.

I don't know 83, I'm waiting and watching to see who else comes in to help these guys. I think with 2 or 3 more, and the right tone, I think they can make it. 04-cheers

Who do you think we are going to be playing OOC?

We will likely win at least 70% of our OOC games and the AAC if full of lower level teams. A winning record is the basement IMO.

We lost our best players from a medicore year (19-13 record) and replaced them with three star freshmen and JUCO's (to date). We have less talent and less experience than last season and we are coached by someone presiding over a late season tail spin crowned by crushing defeats by margins not seen in decades. All it takes is losing four more games than last year and we will have a losing record.

Some Tiger fans are in for a rude awaking. We are a lower level AAC school and we will likely lose to any decent OOC team and struggle against all but the dregs of college basketball.

Agree, reeling in more talent will make a positive contribution towards winning.

So, the players that left had nothing to do with the late season tail spin crowned by crushing defeats?

The players are accountable to the coach and the coach is paid to effectively manage the players to produce victories. Tubby failed.

Tiger1983, you said you think some Tiger fans are in for a rude awakening next year and I think you're right. I think that section of the fan base will be the ones blasting everything and everyone from the coaches to the recently signed players.

I think Tubby managed the problem. He's getting crucified for it but he managed the problem.

Just making sure that the same world beaters that transferred were the ones on the court for the beatdowns by SMU and UCF.

I think Tubby managed the problem. He's getting crucified for it but he managed the problem.

Actions resulting in transfers of the best players without sufficient replacement exacerbates Tubby's failure and improvement to the standard expected of Tiger coaches under Tubby's management or, more accurately, mismanagement does not appear imminent.

When your entire team quits, that's managing things? So you think Tubby ran everybody off on purpose so he could start over with an entirely new team made up of jucos and unproven freshmen?

Tubby may be able to work miracles and produce a quality season but few people have as many new moving parts do well. The talent we are recruiting can't get by on just talent.
