Joe included the hashtag #BAM on a post featuring a picture of a sign that said "I love Memphis". I don't think he posted a commit-signaling "BOOM" today.

I'd be surprised if there was a commitment this week. I don't believe there are any visits happening. I think everyone is on the road recruiting. Smith was reportedly in Hampton, VA yesterday, checking out Team Penny and others.

If in fact Hardy visits Thursday, we now know we'll have Grizz-Spurs Game 6 at FEF on Thursday.

Pretty good recruiting tool.

Especially since the Tigers play in the same building.

Hopefully Tubby and Pooh can get him down there early and introduce him to some of the guys.

Smith was on the road yesterday? Well! That is great news! All of these coaches aren't given up, they are trying to finish the deal. Now I understand the BAM. I'm with you, we may see two or three commitments this week hopefully? Let these coaches go state to state, door to door, and town to town looking around. Let them look around more in the city of Memphis for more players, because they're out there. 04-cheers

Smith said a couple of months ago that the Grizz coaching staff has been very supportive of their recruiting efforts. From the article I read at the time, sounds like Smith and Fizz have a good relationship.

True, Fizz has a lot of respect for Tubby, has talked about it since he got the Grizz job.

RE: Hardy to visit on Thursday
You would think that 60% of the colleges are done recruiting, maybe?? I don't know the answer to that one, but if it is, then it gets a little easier recruiting now it would seem? April is coming to a close, and they are still out there. They've got time to travel, make calls, and set up visits to the campus. I always think that recruiting is tough for anyone doing this business regardless it's basketball, football, or baseball and it takes a lot of work and that's why I always say they are the coaches that they get paid for this stuff.

Fizz looks like he is a tough cookie when it comes to coaching to. Got to give him some credit for over coming adversity throughout this season. The Grizz has been through a lot.04-rock

Not comparing anything, but do you guys realize that Coach Tubby Smith is paid more than Coach David Fizzdale?

That just sounds crazy for the results, that a pro team with all of its revenue, pays less for a coach than the home team university.

Boosters pay all of Tubby's salary outside of the roughly 150k the university pays him.
