Yep. It wasn't long ago when many people were talking about how Markel was the 2nd best player on the team and the only NBA prospect. Funny how things changed so fast.

Markel was the 2nd best player on the team. I don't think there's any doubt. Likewise, he was the #1 player to disappear down the stretch. There's no doubt there either. I think that flat ending to the season - and the way he underperformed - is what has a lot of folks shrugging their shoulders at his departure.

He has good tools. NBA was always going to be a stretch. Seems his mental softness might be his biggest thing to overcome. But, hey, maybe AK can get it out of him like he did...uh...Marshall Henderson?...Terrico White?...Help me here - who has AK helped get in the league?
