So if the results are essentially the same whether he's fully funded or at 5 scholarships, why in the hell give him the 9.9 or whatever it is? Good riddance to him. You look at the kids choosing Tusculum over ETSU, that's all you need to know.

It is 11.7 and can be split among no more than 27 athletes.
Used to be 9.9. Either way, he had a full compliment for 12 years and produced the same results.

Funding is more than scholarships.

That's why you have camps and find other creative sources to generate the revenue you need to supplement your budget. Problem is, when you're a mediocre coach, nobody wants to come to your camp.

Source tells Sports4- Citadel alum, current ETSU head coach Tony Skole is leading candidate with search committee after his interview today.

Fair questions.. I'm told (haven't confirmed) ETSU only using 5 schollys for ️, HUGE handicap. he knows Socon, was great player for El Cid

And you folks laughed at me...Tiered Sports

No, everyone pointed out that he has been here for years and that it wasn't like he was killing it before baseball got pushed down the ladder.

In my opinion baseball is a sport that can be recruited locally with few scholarships and be competitive. My freshman year at ETSU i remember seeing a couple of all state baseball players walking around campus and not on the team (to be fair 1 was on football scholarship).

This begs the question, why wasn't the other player you noted playing scholarship baseball somewhere else?

Maybe it was still cheaper to go to ETSU or some out of state school on a 25% scholly? He wanted to stay close to home.. ETSU had a program he was interested in . I can think of lots of reasons. The question is did Skole try and get him to come out? He might not have been interested but was he asked?
