He's from Michigan, but neither Michigan nor sparty offered. Sounds like Arkansas is in the mix too.

I remember Michigan State not offering CDR. That was dumb.

Man, I wish I would have known that Tubby and Pooh were in my area today. I surely would have made my way over to the gym wearing some Tiger gear.

Hardy is a solid high major prospect. From all reports he's a talented player with a great attitude and work ethic. His game has shown consistent growth over his career. His Dad is a big Tubby fan but they like the staff at Arkansas a lot, too.

First heard about Amauri Hardy being interested in Memphis on AM 730 by Leroy Watson Jr.

Sounds like he can play the 1 or 2 so it won't interfere with recruiting Alex Lomax.

At 6'3 he has good size for 1 or 2 on the college level.

Thanks Sam. I was going to ask you about Hardy since he is over there in Michigan with you. Thanks for the report.

I've tried to listen to Leroy a few times, but it's hard to hear through the static. The signal is weak.

I like Hardy as a player. He's one of those players whose stock really went up over the past year. His choice when he first committed in the Fall came down to Georgia, Georgia Tech, and OK State.

Some might be wondering why he didn't get an offer from Michigan or Michigan State. I am not sure, but I will say that both of those teams seems set at the point guard spots. Michigan State had a top 30 point guard in the class of 2016 who played well as a freshman, and they already have a commitment from a 2018 point guard who is ranked in the top 100. Michigan has point guards playing, signed, or committed for the classes of 2016, 2017, and 2018. The 2016 guy was the number 50 ranked player in the country. Neither team really had a need at the point.
