And TU will have to play them in Tampa. But don't get me wrong, TU will again be a very good FB team.
USF will be looking for payback against Temple University in Tampa this year. The winner will have a good start to winning the East.
To be the best you have to beat the best.

The battle between Memphis, Houston, and Tulsa for the division is going to be fun. And you can never count out Navy.

No doubt the West is a beast. The East has some opportunities after USF. I see ECU winning 3 East games: UCONN, Cincy and Temple. A lot of people are predicting 0-4 OOC, 1-11 overall and even 0-12....I'm going to homer it with a 6-6 season including a win over BYU. This is a perfect situation for ECU to surprise this year.

That's the key right there. Everyone improving. If everyone can eventually be performing at or near their potential year in and year out, without bottoming out severely, our teams can hang with any in the Power "5".

I have to throw my hat in for tulsa this year. The team was a beast and played like a hungry team last year.

They're still hungry. They feel like they got short handed several times last year. They'll be head hunting again.
P.S. Also just saw this on the Twitter.

With Tulsa's O-line the QB just needs to be at least average or better and not turn it over much. Get it to the play makers and Tulsa will roll.

A new QB is always a concern, not insurmountable but a real concern that can change wins/losses dramatically just by a wrong decision here, wrong decision there in crucial situations in close games. I would think, at least early in the season, that offense production might be down at Tulsa. And playing OKST first game could be difficult at Stillwater with them being predicted near the top of the B12. And no doubt early difficulties can affect a new QB's confidence. So I'm wishing Memphis was playing Tulsa early rather than late.

I expect you are right. Tulsa may have problems early with a new QB getting used to the speed of the game. Possibly being overwhelmed at times.

Although the strong O-line should help keep the QB out of as many tight spots that could result in mistakes. At least I hope that's what happens. We'll have to wait and see.
I'm ready to see how our O and D lines hold up to OSU's. I've heard their O line isn't all that great. At least for the Big 12 I assume.
