Trump lied about his wonderful health care plan during the campaign claiming to have a plan that would cover everyone, cost less, and provide better care. It will be amazing, BELIEVE ME. The truth is painfully obvious now that he didn't have a plan at all. It's crazy to me that he still doesn't have a plan and most likely will never have a plan. Can you even imagine the disaster of what would have happened if that House version would have passed last month? That is not acting in good faith. That is a con-job and none of you take Trump to task for it? When will the spin room righties see Trump for what he actually is?
Sounds like spin room lefties.
Maybe there was something I didn't hear, but I never heard him say he had a plan. He said there would be one and it would be beautiful and you would love it. But the implication is that he would negotiate his way to one using the best people, not that he had some magical formula.
Wasn't that your talking point this fall? That he didn't have any specifics, just that he made big promises? Why the switch to lying? Have they explained the reason for the change in your talking points?

Nice try, but I was not posting in the spin room 8 years ago.
So you came in after the honeymoon phase was over and still refused to call out Obama for all the things he lied about or flip-flopped on. That's actually worse.

Yeah, the irony is pretty amazing.
We all get that. But Trump was supposed to not be a politician...and shake things up...remember? That's what mostly got him elected other than Hillary's horrible campaign.
Far too many cons here are letting him slide on all these lies. Now that's some irony!
I heard that Rome was built in a day...
88 days. I guess all the world's ills were supposed to be solved in 88 days.

Dude...your memory and recollection just totally sucks. I've listed many problems here that I've had with Obama. And it's not my job to call out Obama anyway. I don't recall seeing you call out anyone on your side with great regularity! Probably because when they're on our side WE NORMALLY AGREE WITH THEM! So it is not an issue...I don't care when you don't call out your side, do I?
You've got that one damned bombing incident bee stuck in your bonnet regarding me and it does nothing but cloud your perception of me. Give it a rest.
RE: Trump most definitely lied on his health care plan.
Cracks me up...the only people I know who had to change their plan due to the ACA all post here. No relatives at all were affected negatively that I'm aware of.

Quote: President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.
Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC News that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”
Quote:Nearly five weeks into the launch of HealthCare.gov, the management expert brought in to turn around the website says its issues are fixable. But it's going to take weeks, not days. That comes as some Americans are being surprised, not only that they are being booted off their current plans, but at how much they're being asked to pay for new ones.
For many, their introduction to the Affordable Care Act has been negative: a broken website, and now cancellation notices from insurance companies followed by sticker shock over higher prices for the new plans. It's directly at odds with repeated assurances from the president, who has said "if you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you."
But people across the country are finding out they're losing their existing insurance plans under Obamacare because requirements in the law, such as prenatal and prescription drug coverage, mean their old plans aren't comprehensive enough.
In California, Kaiser Permanente terminated policies for 160,000 people. In Florida, at least 300,000 people are losing coverage.
Evidently it's more than "just people who post here".
Of course you knew that but in your continued zeal to defend this failed leftist policy you chose to be dishonest.

Of course I know that and have admitted it many times. That doesn't change the fact that I don't know one person personally who lost their insurance solely because of the ACA. Sorry if that inconveniences you.
All my friends work for employers who have plans...just like the vast vast majority of Americans. And I have a couple relatives who are pretty poor who benefited by being able to get insurance when they otherwise would not have been able to afford it.

Exactly!
tbh, I had never heard of it either. I'm relatively young though... I guess. My only problem with it is that I know we lack the political will to make it happen. The fact that it is never discussed in Congress tells me that.
