I may be wrong but I thought I read where he was a three star, not that it matters. Also if this kid is a point guard I have to say I don't really like it, and I'll tell you why... it's extremely vital in my opinion that we get Alex Lomax and we don't need anyone there that could block Alo. But maybe I'm looking at it wrong. We not only need Lomax because he is a dynamic point guard that is a winner and tough as nails but we need Lomax also because he is a local Memphis kid. If Tubby is successful at landing Lomax Tiger fans will begin to feel better and jump on board. Lomax is incredibly important because he's a Memphis kid.

It would also be nice if kids were more willing to compete these days. You'd hate to turn down a good PG when you have a need at that position for a guy that may or may not come here. But trust me, I want to sign Lomax too. Assuming JM sticks around and is heathy, he'll be the starting PG his senior year anyways. After that, it's an open competition. If you can play, there should be no worries about getting minutes.

Back in the day, Penny sure as hell didn't say, "Well since Memphis State already has Elliot Perry, Anthony Douglas and Billy Smith I'm gonna go somewhere else b/c I'm afraid of competition".

I hear you. I get what you're saying and basically agree. I just don't want anything messing up Lomax being a Tiger.

Also, I would rather get Chris Darrington who would only have one season with Lomax then when Martin, Darrington, and Brewton are gone hand the ball over to Lomax his sophomore year. Lomax and Jamal Johnson will be pretty awesome.

I sure hope signing that Chris Douglas-Roberts guy doesn't hurt our chances at signing J.P. Prince.

We didn't get jp prince. Thanks for making my point. Jp prince was an azz on the court.

Point is to take the good player who wants to commit, regardless of hometown. Not to mention Lomax is a year away. Half our roster will have transferred by then anyway.

I get all of that. Frankly I want 12 big time players on the roster. I think you get my point though. Lomax is incredibly important because he is a local big time player that could help lure other quality Memphis kids. I still would prefer Darrington.

That's probably a good thing right, cause juco players suck.
