And ODU has no midweek games this week after playing at home over the weekend while USM was at Rice. USM has the home field advantage while ODU has the well rested advantage....if there is such a thing

To Rice's credit, according to RPI they've literally played THE toughest schedule in the nation thus far. Not a single game vs a sub-200 team (until this coming weekend). If they were even over .500 that would really have boosted our RPI. As it is they still have 8 T50 wins. But still, you expect Rice to do better than this, even against such a rough schedule. At least you expect a winning conference record.

That said, I'm happy with being ranked higher than the B1G. Can we consider ourselves a "power conference" in baseball yet?

It was a complete embarrassment. I thought we had a good opportunity to beat them at home, like we did last year when we really had a much worse offensive team. Pitching was bad from the start and that was the killer. IIRC, Vandy Batters were walked 8 times in the first three or four innings.

I think the RPI around 30 is fine IF you finish in the top 3 or 4 of CUSA.
