RE: Houston 2017 OOC
I guess what I'm saying is if you guys play all very good P5 teams OOC it will diminish your chances of getting a big bowl bid. Playing 1 or 2 is fine but all 4 is not the best idea. Just my opinion though. Regardless we are scheduled to play you guys for a while and I think it will continue. Just wait 5-10 years and I'm sure the perception of UTSA will be a lot different.

But if you guys blow us out of the water in the next few match ups, then you can disregard my thoughts.

I actually like playing in state teams even if it is UTSA.

Exactly. I'd by far rather play regional teams like UTSA, Texas St, and LaTech over Georgia Southern. Of course, playing P5's is the most fun, but if your playing G5's in OOC, then other Texas/Louisiana teams make the most sense for us.

Thanks for the kind words. I definitely agree. Now it's up to our administration & large businesses in the city to get a plan going to upgrade our facilities. Once that happens we will be on the right path but until then we will be held back. A few breakout seasons & marquee wins could do wonders. We do have a ton of Texas AM & UT fans here though, oh ya & Cowboys. Regardless we're the only D1 football team in town so there's no excuse.

I'm just glad we didn't play Houston last year or in 2015. They would have killed us. We should be able to keep it relatively close next year besides Oliver getting 5 sacks.

I root for the AAC's success because that's our long term goal one day. It's good to see Houston & others getting the chance to make the playoff. That's exactly what we want. So hopefully you guys do very well next year.

UTSA should be on the phone with Navy AD on how you can get sustained attendance when their is competition for your fanbase's ticket dollars.
