Memphis is closer to TULSA than it is to Knoxville, site of the state's flagship university campus. Plus there's another on hour the other side of Knoxville.
We have no expectation to some kid in Chattanooga EVEN if we were a T25 program.
2 hours + on the other side of Knoxville

Memphis is closer to Atlanta, St. Louis, and Louisville than Knoxville.

Their varsity boys' basketball team only has two kids who are local; the rest are internationals. The three best players are from Canada and have been at the school for two years. I think they are cousins. One is going to Kentucky, one to Virginia Tech, and one to MTSU. The rest of their international players are from Africa.
They have a solid girls' team, too, made up of local and international players.
Thanks for the info!
Saw them play at the Penny Hardaway Hoopfest ... Good team, and (as the earlier reply stated) like Monteverde Academy in Florida, players are from all over the country as well as Internationally ... Even being in Chattanooga; they are not members of the TSSAA in Basketball, and basically participate in a "barnstorming" type schedule, playing in Regional and National tournaments ...

Yep.
Fun fact: Bristol, TN is closer to Canada than it is to Memphis.
