It's pretty straightforward, we need the cash.

As I mentioned in another thread, I would play that caliber of schedule every year if it got us out of MACtion in November.

Nothing will get us out of all the weeknight games as long as we are in the MAC.

I didn't realize that the financial situation was that dire.

Let's hope we can pull an upset (or two).

We had a chance against Ohio State last year. A win over the #1 team.....what an event that would have been.

Yeah, when the state doesn't give funds to public education that leads to said public education suffering on a major scale. We are almost at three years of no budget...

Well, time to up my Huskie Athletic fund contribution and I'll be buying season tickets again.

Time for alumni to step up.

Yes, those of us who are able to should, I have. With that said, as Illinois tax payers and alumni it's super frustrating that they won't just fund the effing budget. It's maddening.

I'm glad we're being proactive about it and not waiting on the program to die like some schools.

While true, we don't have unlimited time...

I love the schedule. It is not ideal and it may cost us a bowl game, but I'll be way more pumped to watch these 4 2018 non conference games than the Bahamas bowl on Dec 23rd against a Sun Belt team.

And NIUs declining enrollment doesnt help since we miss those student fees.
